A Lawrence County, Illinois judge sentenced  a Lawrenceville man to 3 years in prison and one year supervised release Friday for Unlawful Possession of a Methamphetamine Precursor.

34-year-old Martin McGuire had earlier pled guilty to the charge in connection with an incident in January of 2012.
