State health officials say the number of flu deaths in Indiana remains at 43.

Most of the deaths involves individuals 65 and older and those with underlying medical conditions.

Although nationally influenza-like illness remains high, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention says it appears to be decreasing in some areas, including the Midwest.
