Toyota is recalling more than a million cars and small SUVs in the U.S. The carmaker is recalling more than 750-thousand Corolla sedans and Corolla Matrix crossovers because of a problem with the airbag control module. The recall covers vehicles from the 2003 and 2004 model years. A separate recall covers 270-thousand Lexus IS sedans from the 2006 to 2012 model years, to check for a loose nut on the front wipers. Owners will be getting letters telling them to take their vehicles to dealers for repairs.
