Good Samaritan Hospital in Vincennes is tightening visitation guidelines due to an increase of influenza infections. Hospital officials say the restrictions are designed to protect patients and employees. The recommended number of visitors allowed in the hospital will be two per patient. Visitors 18-years of age and younger should not visit the hospital, including lobbies and the cafeteria. Every visitor entering or exiting a patient's room must clean hands with soap and water or use an alcohol-based hand sanitizer. Public reading materials have been removed from public waiting areas in an effort to decrease the transmission of the flu.
