Indiana State Police say a motorist who was rear-ended while stopped for an on-coming train is lucky to be alive. 57-year-old Denise Ricketts of Jasonville was struck from behind by 20-year-old Kade Michael King of Dugger which pushed Ricketts' vehicle onto the railroad tracks. Police say Ricketts was able to accelerate off the tracks just in time to avoid the train. She did sustain back and neck injuries and had to be extricated from her car. King was cited for speeding and not wearing a seatbelt. The accident happened in the northbound lanes of US 41 just north of Harlan Drive in Vigo County.
