Hoosiers are encouraged to register now for the annual Great Central United States ShakeOut.

The earthquake preparedness drill will take pace on February 7th-- the anniversary of the 1812 New Madrid earthquakes.

The Department of Homeland Security says among the nine states participating, Indiana has the most registrations with more than 227-thousand.

Registrations can be found at ShakeOut.org/centralus.

Participants will receive information on how to plan their drill and how to create a dialogue with others about earthquake preparedness.
