Two persons were injured Monday night in a one vehicle accident on State Road 145, south of the Birdseye loop, in Dubois County.The Dubois County Sheriff's Department says an SUV driven by 44-year-old Anthony Bonifer of Jasper ran off the right side of the road, hit a guardrail, crossed over to the left side of the roadway, and rolled onto its top.
Bonifer and a passenger were trapped inside and immersed in water.
Both were rescued by Birdseye first responders.
Bonifer was taken to Jasper Memorial Hospital for treatment of a knee injury.
A passenger, Ryan Utterback, age and hometown not given, was taken to Saint Mary's Hospital in Evansville with a broken neck and broken back.
Police say charges are pending.
