(Palestine, IL) -- The Palestine Police Department has released some end of year statistics. Police issued 48 traffic tickets and 72 warnings last year. They also had a pair of DUI arrests. Police handled 26 animal ordinance violations, had 20 abandoned vehicles removed and took care of 71 other ordinance violations. They responded to 33 disturbance calls and ten domestic disturbances. There were 20 juvenile incidents in Palestine. The department handled a dozen thefts resulting in over three-thousand dollars in losses. There were also two burglaries. Police say there were seven incidents of criminal damage to property resulting in over 41-hundred dollars in damage.
