Officials at Gibson General Hospital in Princeton are notifying 29,000 patients that a hospital laptop containing personal health information was stolen from an employee's home last month.The Evansville Courier & Press reports Hospital President and CEO Emmett Schuster says there is no evidence to believe the data on the laptop was the target of the November 27th burglary.
Information on the laptop may have included a patient's name, address, Social Security number and clinical information.
The hospital says the laptop had security features, including password protection.
