Vincennes Ind. -- In the wake of the snow storm Wednesday, city and county crews have been working to get streets and roads cleared so daily life can resume.Mayor Yochum said there was no way the city could have been prepared for the amount of snow that blanketed the city. He knows that some of the plowing practices inconvenience some residents, but he says the city is well on it's way to having everything cleaned up....
Mayor Yochum said garbage pick up will not happen this week due to the weather. Yochum said the city emergency routes were priority for the plows...
With all of the city's man powe concentrating on plowing emergency routes, several people took to helping their neighbor. Yochum said seeing those people in action was a real treat for him....
