Army Specialist Trevor Pinnick of Lawrenceville, Illinois was honored Thursday night in Lawrenceville by local state and federal officials.Pinnick was killed by a roadside bomb in Afghanistan in June.
Illinois State Representative Brad Halbrook showed a video of the Illinois House of Representatives adopting a resolution in Pinnick's honor.

Representatives read letters and presented Pinnick's mother Nancy with the American Flag that flew over the Illinois House of Representatives the day her son was killed.
Halbrook says the State is considering naming a section of U.S. 50 in honor of Lawrenceville's Fallen Soldier.
