Indiana State Police and the Sullivan County Sheriff's Office are investigating the death of a retired Sullivan County farmer.

Dead is 85-year-old Lowell Badger.

Badger's body was found on his bedroom floor by his son Saturday morning during a routine visit.

Police say there were obvious signs of trauma to the body and that electronics and other items appear to have been taken from the residence near Merom.

An autopsy is scheduled today.

Indiana State Police ask that anyone who may have seen or heard anything suspicious in the area between the hours of 8:00 p.m. on Friday and 9:23 Saturday morning, to contact state police detectives.
