IU Boosts Retirement Age for Top Administrators

The Indiana University Board of Trustees approved a change to the mandatory retirement age for top administrators.

The new rule changes the mandatory retirement age from 65 to 67 and is applicable to 14 vice-presidents, 37 deans in Bloomington and Indianapolis and the university president.

The regional campus vice chancellors and deans would be exempt from the requirement.

The committee says the exemption will allow the university to recruit and retain talent.
