A body found last month in Rural Lawrence County, Illinois has been identified as Ed Hataway of Olney.

Richland County Law enforcement confirmed that the body found in a drainage ditch on Cahokia Trace Lane in Red Hills State Park on November 7th was that of Hataway.

According to a release from the Richland County State's Attorney, Hataway was reported missing on September 20th.

More details about the case will be released as the investigation unfolds.

Illinois State Police and Olney Police are conducting the investigation.
