A fifth Indiana resident sickened by a spinal meningitis outbreak linked to a Massachusetts company has died.

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention's updated web page shows there have been 55 cases of the rare disease in Indiana, including 5 deaths.

A state health official says he doesn't have information about the fifth death.
