James W. Bryant, 82, Spencer, passed away on June 21, 2012 at his residence. He was born on March 25, 1930 in Detroit, Michigan and was the son of the late Lester G. and Clara E. [Schwartz] Bryant.
He was married to Barbara J. [Comadol] Bryant and she preceded him in death.
He was a retired truck driver for Yellow Freight and was a member of Teamsters Local #135, Masonic Lodge, Scottish Rite, Shrine, Life Time member of V.F.W. Post # 1550, Jesse M. Lee Post, Greencastle and was a Charter Member of Eagles Lodge #4348, Greencastle. He was veteran of the Korean War, serving in the United States Air Force.
He is survived by his children, Lynnette C. Bryant, Spencer, Jamie A. Tingle, Spencer, Wendy Bryant, Defiance, OH, Mary L. Gutierrec, Ottawa, OH and Greg J. Bryant, Pauldiing, OH, sister-in-law, Barbara Bryant, Grand Rapids, MI, 11 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandson.
Memorial services will be held on Saturday, July 7, 2012 at 4:00 PM at the Whitaker Funeral Home, Cloverdale. Visitation will be held on Saturday, July 7, 2012 from 2:00 PM until service time.
In addition to his wife and parents he was preceded in death by his brother, Lester G. Bryant, Jr.
