The Knox County Board of Zoning Appeals has approved a conditional use for a slaughterhouse for Farbest Foods in the Vincennes Industrial Park.

The slaughterhouse will be part Farbest's new 220-thousand square foot turkey processing plant.
Farbest General Manager Mark Maynard says the approval is part of the architectural process.

He also says the conditional use exception is another step toward a springtime ground-breaking...



A couple of questions were raised over drainage and possible traffic congestion.

However, all who attended Tuesday's meeting supported approval of the special exception.
