How did you get into radio?
A friend of mine who worked for WQFL in Rockford, IL got me interested in radio. I had always been interested in it. I used to run around with my tape recorder and interview people all the time as a kid. That was my first job in radio in 1982. My friend Ben Birdsong always signed off by saying "That's it, I'm done, I'm outta here, and I refuse to do anymore" So as a tribute to him, I adopted that as my signature sign off line.
