Community Calendar 11 July 2009, Saturday Pike County 4H Fair The Pike County 4H Fair is taking place through July 18th at Hornaday Park in Petersburg. The beef show gets underway at 9am with the demolition derby at 7pm. For more information call 354-6838. Family Life Center The 4th annual BREAD OF LIFE FAMILY MINISTRY DINNER THEATRE is at the North Friendship Family Life Center in Lynnville. Serving starts at 5pm (central). David Frizzel is the special guest singer. Carryouts will be available. County fairs COUNTY FAIRS are taking place today in Bartholomew, Carroll, Clark, Crawford, Decatur, Floyd, Fountain, Franklin, Fulton, Gibson, Greene, Hancock, Henry, Jasper, Jefferson, Kosciusko, LaGrange, Lawrence, Martin, Ohio, Owen, Perry, Posey, St Joseph, Starke, Sullivan, Switzerland and Wabash counties. Greene County Fair** The Greene County Fair is taking place at the fairgrounds between Switz City and Bloomfield. Activities today include the Tractor Pull at 6pm. Vincennes Farmers Market** The Vincennes FARMERS MARKET is now open in the Riverfront Pavilion at 2nd and Busseron Streets. Fresh, local produce is available on Wednesdays from 7 until noon and on Saturday from 8 until 1pm. Lyons Senior Center There will be a GOSPEL JUBILEE at the Lyons Senior Center. Music is from 6-10pm and a free will donation will be accepted. Refreshments will be available. Haysville Sommerfest The annual Haysville SOMMERFEST is taking place with chicken and pork chop dinners. There will be kids games, live music plus cash prizes. Luke House Music** There will be a MUSIC FUNDRAISER to benefit the Luke House on Saturday, August 1st. it will be from 4 until 10pm at the Sullivan County Park and Lake. There will be food, a silent auction, dunking booth, music and more. Bring your own lawn chair. For ticket information call 564-1014. Old Town Players** Old Town Players presents the musical GYPSY at the theatre on Broadway in Vincennes. Show time is 8pm. Tickets will be available at the door. Jasper Chamber of Commerce** The Jasper Chamber of Commerce presents its 2009 SUMMER RIVERWALK CONCERT SERIES. Plastic Soul will be performing from 7-9pm at the Gazebo under the 3rd Avenue bridge. There is no charge to attend. Bring your own lawn chairs or blankets for seating. For details call 482-6866. Wheatland Lions Club** The Wheatland Lions Club is sponsoring WHEATFEST 2009. This family oriented festival feastures, food, live music, kids games, a flea market and more. Everything takes place in downtown Wheatland.
