Community Calendar 3 July 2008, Thursday South Knox Elementary** 5th Graders from South Knox Elementary School will be singing at Busch Stadium before a Saint Louis Cardinal game on Friday, July 18th. Tickets, including bus transportation, are on sale now by calling the school at 743-2591. Fish Sandwiches** The will be a BENEFIT FISH FRY featuring the Bill Joyce Sandwiches at Eastside Park in Washington. Sandwiches will be sold at 5pm on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday and at 11am on Friday the 4th. Proceeds go to the family of flood victim Wendell Wise of Elnora. Shoals Catfish Festival The 23rd annual Shoals CATFISH FESTIVAL will be held Thursday, Friday and Saturday. There will be a parade plus food and lots of fun. For more information call 247-2828. Linton Freedom Festival** The Linton FREEDOM FESTIVAL is a weeklong celebration that includes Indiana's largest July 4th parade. There will be a carnival, a cruise-in, live entertainment, horse pulls, fireworks, games and more. There is no admission charge. For details call 847-4846. City of Washington** The City of Washington is having its annual July 4th Celebration at Eastside Park. The celebration goes from 5-10 Tuesday thru Thursday and starts at 12:30pm on Friday the 4th. The fireworks display starts at 10pm on Friday. Indiana State Police** The 2008 Indiana State Police SUMMER YOUTH CAMP starts Sunday, July 6th at Vincennes University. Daviess County Red Cross** The Daviess County chapter of the American Red Cross is having a BLOOD DRIVE from 3-7pm. The drive will be at the Free Methodist Church on Troy Road in Washington.
