One of the things I've always appreciated about living in Crawford County is how well people come together to help each other in crisis. Local residents will no doubt show up in force Thursday night to help a Hutsonville girl attacked by a pit bull. The benefit soup supper runs from 4-8 at the Hutsonville Grade School Cafeteria.
It's nice to see how much people open their hearts and wallets to help those in need. Kelcee Lowrance is still recovering from the January 10th attack. She was walking home from the school bus when the dog attacked her twice. She's had surgeries to repair the damage, but from everything I've heard, she's been in great spirits since the attack.
As much as the community usually rallies together, I'm sure the soup supper will have a fantastic turnout Thursday night.
