Today is Passport Day at the US Postal Service. Post offices around the country are helping people who need to apply for passports. Mary Dando with the Post office in Indianapolis says “before you leave, make sure you have proof of US Citizenship. You must also have proof of identity.” Passport applications cost $135 for those 16 years or older and $105 for kids under 16. Passport photo services will be available for $15 and expedited passport services will cost $60 per application. Dando says it can take up to 8 weeks for a passport to be issued.
