The Pike County Sheriff’s Office is investigating an apparent accidental shooting that claimed the life of a Pike County teenager.

Pike County Central Dispatch received a 911 call shortly after Midnight Monday concerning an accidental shooting near the Glezen area in Pike County.

The caller advised the victim was shot in the face while cleaning a gun.

Emergency personnel found 18-year-old Damon Robinson  dead at the scene with a gunshot wound to his face.

The shooting is under investigation by the Pike County Sheriff’s Office and Indiana State Police.

An autopsy has been scheduled.
