Perry Defense to Seek Psychiatric Exam

The Attorney for a Princeton man accused of murdering his estranged girlfriend intends to seek a psychiatric exam for his client to determine if he is competent to stand trail.

Jason Perry is scheduled to stand trial in September in the shooting death of Jessica Tice in the parking lot of the Los Aztecas Restaurant in Princeton.

The Princeton Daily Clarion reports Perry's attorney gave notice Monday of his intent to introduce a defense of mental disease or insanity.

Another hearing in the case is scheduled for July 17th.
