National Guard Forming Highway Assistance Teams



Governor Mike Pence has ordered the Indiana National Guard into action due to heavy snow and low temperatures forecast across the state. 

The Governor has directed the Guard to form 24 highway assistance teams.

Each team consists of four soldiers and two vehicles.

The teams have been deployed across the state to assist in life saving and rescue operations.

Additional resources will be deployed if necessary.
