MasterBrand Cabinets has announced an eight-million dollar expansion of its Ferdinand plant which it says could create more than 262 jobs by the end of 2016. MasterBrand plans to invest the money in equipment at the 500-thousand square foot plant. The company employs more than 35-hundred people at six Indiana sites, including more than 15-hundred in Ferdinand. The state offered MasterBrand up to one-point-two million dollars in tax credits and up to 100-thousand dollars in training grants contingent on job creation. The town also offered the company a tax abatement.
