Jerry Lee Sievers, 74, formerly of Vincennes, passed away Saturday, March 29, 2014, at St. Vincent's Hospital in Frankfort.
Jerry was born on Aug. 14, 1939, to Homer Denis and Lela (McCormick) Sievers.
Jerry worked as a security guard for McCormick Trucking and worked with the St. Vincent De Paul Society of Vincennes. He was a third degree Knight of Columbus, a scoutmaster for Boy Scout Troop 203, state director of Mutual UFO Network, an associate member of the Center for UFO Studies and a former member of the National Investigation Committee on Aerial Phenomenon. Jerry loved to travel, read and study unexplained phenomenon.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife, Roselyn Sievers.
A memorial Mass will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at St. Vincent De Paul Catholic Church with the Rev. William Traylor and Deacon Earl Ruppel officiating. He will be laid to rest at the St. Vincent Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the St. Vincent De Paul Society.
