IL: Data Reveals Motorcycle Riders Driving Drunk

Illinois law enforcement officials are cracking down on motorcycle riders, especially between 3:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m.

IDOT Traffic Safety Interim Director John Webber says data reveals quite a few riders on the roads during those times are drunk.

Data reveals riders on the roads in the late afternoon and early evening have a blood-alcohol content more than double that of all other drivers.

Authorities want to make it clear that motorcycle riders who drive under the influence will be arrested.
