The Greene County Sheriff's Department is investigating the death of a 34-year-old Jasonville man who was found hanging in his jail cell on November 23rd.

The Greene County Daily World reports Dallas Gose was being held at the time on two felony counts of sexual misconduct with a minor.

Gose died Monday at IU-Health Bloomington Hospital from the apparent suicide.

The Greene County Sheriff's Department tells the Daily World an internal investigation is under way and no information will be released until the probe is complete.

Greene County Sheriff Terry Pierce said the preliminary investigation shows that "no foul play was involved."
