Federal officials say the former postmaster of the Elberfeld Post Office pleaded guilty Tuesday in US District Court to charges of Possession and Receiving Child Pornography. 60-year-old Floyd Thompson faces up to 20-years in prison when he’s sentenced on August 10th. The investigation began in June 2013 when the FBI traced a computer sharing sexually explicit images of children to Thompson’s Evansville home. Federal agents interviewed Thompson and took his computer equipment into custody. A preliminary forensic examination of the computers allegedly revealed thousands of images and videos of child pornography depicting young girls between the ages of 3 and 12 years old.
