3-Judge Panel to Hear Appeal of State's Same Sex Marriage Ruling

A three-judge panel will hear Indiana‘s appeal of a ruling that legalized same sex marriage, rather than the full appeals court as Indiana Attorney General Greg Zoeller had sought.

The 7th Circuit Court of Appeals ruled Friday that a three-judge panel was sufficient to hear the appeal of U.S. District Judge Richard Young‘s ruling.

Zoeller had asked all ten judges on the court to consider the appeal to speed up the legal process, which is expected to end up before the U.S. Supreme Court.
