Vincennes Grandmother Arrested for Driving Under the Influence of Meth
Indiana State Police arrested a Vincennes woman Saturday morning for Driving under the Influence of Methamphetamine following an accident on US 41 near Decker in Knox County.
40-year-old Brandy Parker, her boyfriend 40-year-old Hurley Manning of Vincennes, and Parker’s three and four-year-old granddaughters were injured.
All were treated at Good Samaritan Hospital and released.
Police say Parker overcorrected when she drove into the median and the vehicle swerved back across both lanes into a sign and earthen embankment.
Police say Parker’s granddaughters were in the back seat buckled up with only a lap belt.
In addition to Driving under the Influence of Methamphetamine, Parker was also arrested for Driving While Suspended and was cited for a child restraint violation.
She was booked into the Knox County Jail on $5,000 bond.
