2014 General Assembly Adjourns
Governor Mike Pence is thanking the state's legislators for a job well done.
The 2014 General Assembly adjourned on Thursday with passage of several of Pence's priorities.
Lawmakers approved a preschool pilot program, approved up to 400-million-dollars for state highway expansion, cut the corporate income tax and gave counties new options for business tax cuts.
With just hours left in the session, legislators barely defeated a bill that would have screened welfare recipients for drug use.
