Hunters for the Hungry Expands to Daviess & Martin Counties
The Dubois County Sportsmen's Club has received funding through a grant from the Sportsman's Benevolence Fund administered by the Indiana Department of Natural Resources to pay for the processing of donated deer to the Hunters for the Hungry program.
The Dubois County Sportsmen's Club is expanding the program this year from Dubois County into Daviess and Martin Counties.
Currently any legally harvested deer may be taken to either Ferdinand Processing, Sander Processing in Celestine or the Cannelburg Processing Plant.
Just tell any of these processors that you'd like to donate it to Hunters for the Hungry.
There is no cost to the hunter.
Processing will be paid for by the Dubois County Sportsmen's Club.
The venison will then be processed, packaged and distributed through local food banks.
