ISTEP Scores Released: Daviess Co.



Nearly three out of four students passed this year's ISTEP exam, with 74-percent of students passing both the English and math portions.

State school superintendent Glenda Ritz says math scores were up across the board, with an overall passing rate of 83-percent.

Passing rates on the English half of the exam slipped a little among third, sixth and seventh graders, but the overall passing rate on English was just under 80-percent.

In the Washington School District, 70.2 percent of students passed both the English and math portions of the test.

78.3 percent passed the English portion while 80 percent passed the math portion.

In the Barr Reeve School District, 77.8 percent of students passed both the English and math portions.

83.6 of students passed the English portion while 86.5 percent of students passed the math portion.

And, at North Daviess, 77.8 percent passed both portions of the test.
